Liquid Animation welcomes Executive Producer Georgie Uppington to focus on Business Development for their Commercials division
Liquid Animation are committed to attracting Agencies here and abroad to produce animated commercials at their sizable
studio by appointing Georgie Uppington as their EP focusing on Business Development in Australia and the United States. ‘We are happy to have found someone with Georgie’s caliber and experience. She’s worked on large and complicated campaigns, which brings another dimension and understanding to the work we do here at LA’ says Geoff Viner, Executive Producer and part owner of Liquid Animation, who will partner with Uppington and focus on Business Development in Asia for commercials.
‘Liquid have a large, energetic team in Brisbane which allows them to execute complicated work with the greatest of ease and an impressive turnaround. One of the things that attracted me to Liquid is their four, diverse, talented, in-house Directors, who all have a great sense of design with strengths across 3d/2d animation and graphics’ says Georgie.
Having spent the better part of a decade with Animal Logic in Sydney working on their animated feature films and leading their Commercials and Short Form team, Georgie embarked on a short hiatus at The Mill in New York so it was a natural fit to have her focus on animated commercial work in Australia and the US for Liquid Animation.
‘I’m excited to have joined Liquid as their character design and development is some of the best I’ve seen. Their dedication to producing and developing entertaining content as well as high-end animation is impressive. I look forward to sharing these talents with the local and overseas markets’.

Liquid Animation transformed Singapore in to a vibrant 3D world in its latest project for Telco M1 called “A Happy Life”.
The commercial, directed by Liquid’s Animation’s Mike Viner and Sorin Oancea for Y&R Singapore, was focused on developing a playful and quirky design style based on dynamic, twisted and bold shapes and draped with highly detailed textures and lighting. An overall soft feel treatment was added for more depth and a natural appeal to this unique world.

Employing a flexible pipeline and work-flow that lent itself to the challenges of a large scale, evolving concept, Liquid mobilised our team of talented artists to design and craft a visually rich sequence that tells an engaging story.

In this tongue in cheek TV commercial for Australia, secret agents run through the woods in a scene reminiscent of the X-Files towards a mysterious figure in the woods…. First contact? Or some other kind of contact entirely….
When our sister company Liquid Interactive won the Isuzu account last year and began planning for the website launch of the All New D-Max, little did we know where it would lead us.
Liquid Animation coordinated this full live action shoot and got right out of our comfort zone in the office and into the woods in the dead of night. Final editing and visual effects brought us back indoors where we were much more comfortable and less afraid of stepping on a snake.
See the surprising and very funny result here on Isuzu UTE Australia’s site. (Website created by Liquid Interactive.)
In January the Courier Mail ran this article on Liquid.

From small beginnings 12 years ago, the company has come so far in such a short space of time. With regular work for many of Hollywood’s major children’s entertainment companies and a solid client base in Australia and the Asian region, Liquid Animation also boasts a strong slate of original IP properties that it is taking to the world.
As well as garnering attention from media agencies domestically, our Managing Director Steve Viner made sure the top children’s entertainers worldwide know about Liquid as he attends the KidScreen summit in New York recently. The arguably biggest event in children’s entertainment for the year is attended by major production and broadcasting companies from around the world and it has been a major market for Liquid to pitch original ideas for the past number of years. Important enough to brave to cold of New York for while the rest of us were comfortable in summer Down Under!
October was Awards Month in Brisbane and Liquid Animation is delighted to announce that we were honored in both the Premier of Queensland Export Awards and the Lord Mayor’s Awards for Business Excellence.
